A video splitter that cuts losslessly. Because it uses passthrough rather than re-encoding, a long clip becomes story-length segments in seconds with no quality loss, no watermark and no upload.
Splitting a video for stories usually means re-encoding it, which costs minutes of battery and a visible generation of quality. StoryChop uses AVFoundation passthrough instead: the container is rewritten around the existing encoded frames, so the operation is close to a file copy and the output is bit-identical in quality to the source.
Verified, not assumed
A ninety-five second source is split and the resulting files are measured: 30.00, 30.00, 30.00 and 5.00 seconds, present in the camera roll. Durations are asserted from the exported assets rather than from what the UI claimed it did.
